Electronics Technician
Assemble, test and repair electronics for our construction robots.
Electronics work in our Amsterdam workshop
You’ll build electronics assemblies for our robots, test them and repair faults. The work includes production batches, prototypes and maintenance, working with our hardware and software engineers.
- Location: Central Amsterdam
- Role: Full-time, on-site
- Team: Workshop
- Experience: 2+ years in a comparable role
- Your craft: Soldering, wiring and crimping
- Workplace: Workshop and robot testing floor
You must already live in the Netherlands, be eligible to work here and be able to commute to Amsterdam five days a week. We cannot offer relocation or visa sponsorship for this role.
Electronics assembly
You’ll solder connections, prepare cables and assemble wiring for our robots. Most of the work is building production batches. You’ll also help assemble and test new prototypes.
Testing and repairs
Find faults in electronic components and wiring, repair them and check that the robot works again. You’ll also carry out maintenance and help with field tests. Some jobs involve mechanical assembly as well as electronics.
Improving the assembly process
Tell the engineers what is difficult to assemble or keeps failing. Work together to improve the design and testing procedures. Keep track of parts and tools so the next batch can be built without delays.
What you’ll bring
- A solid grasp of electronics, with practical experience in assembly and debugging.
- Confidence with system-level cabling and wiring, including working without detailed schematics.
- A relevant MBO, HBO, BSc, diploma or equivalent, plus at least two years of comparable work experience.
- An organised, collaborative approach. You can explain a problem clearly, adapt when priorities change and enjoy learning new skills.
Our Amsterdam workshop
Our workshop, engineering teams and robot testing floor are in the same building in central Amsterdam. We design and build the hardware and software here, and work closely with the teams operating the robots on construction sites.
